The Edit by Kalika (TEBK) is a curated, community-centered platform that showcases local artists, authors, and makers within welcoming café spaces. Our aim is to create an experience that feels intentional, supportive, and respectful for artists, guests, and host locations alike.

By participating, artists become part of a shared ecosystem rooted in care, creativity, and collaboration. We ask each participant to arrive prepared, engage thoughtfully with the space and guests, and help uphold the warm, inclusive atmosphere that defines The Edit.

Dates and locations are curated by our team to ensure balance across creators and venues. Once confirmed, assigned dates are reserved specifically for the artist and may not be changed without prior coordination with host.

TEBK is designed as an active, community-facing experience. Each activation is most successful when artists, hosts, and our team work together to create energy and visibility around the event. As part of participation, artists agree to actively promote their activation through their own channels in the days leading up to and during their scheduled dates. This shared promotion supports meaningful foot traffic, strengthens community connection, and benefits all participants.

As part of our community-first model, artists select a Community Support contribution during the application process. This contribution helps sustain the program while keeping participation accessible and flexible for creators at different stages of growth. The contribution shown below reflects the selection made by the artist and applies to all approved activation dates listed on this page.
